So many moms fear that teething will throw a baby off routine and that good sleep has to go bye-bye when their baby is teething. I have to say that 9 times out of 10, when little ones become good sleepers they tackle the struggles and pain of teething much better! The goal is to ensure that you don’t start changing routines and sleep practices to accommodate for teething issues. This is where great sleep can turn sour pretty quick! If you give your little ones the love and support they need, and if they take Tylenol, Advil or Camelia for the pain of teething, give them some before bedtime or when next dosage falls and if they wake and seem uncomfy in the night, go back, provide what they need, keep things calm, offer a quick snuggle and leave and let him rest up!
During the day help ease the discomfort with an amber necklace. I like this one:
It works like a charm to help relieve the teething “blues” and it looks hip! A bonus! Snugglebugz carries them.
My all time FAV teething toy….My BFF Kelly got one for me (the white and yellow guy below on the right) and it was a huge hit and still is!
